Projectile¶
Fires from the staff tip at whatever you're aiming at. V opens the launcher, Left Alt cycles modes.
- Arrow Cannon — hold right-click and spam whatever you've picked: arrows, fireballs, TNT, food, or something of your own. Arrows home in on the mob you're aiming at.
- Advanced control — hold to steer one.
- Control Projectiles — build up a swarm, then send it. See below.
` + scroll sets throw distance.
Control Projectiles¶
Gather a cloud of projectiles around you, pick a target, launch the lot.
| Input | |
|---|---|
| Build modifier + right-click | Summon one into the swarm. One click, one projectile. |
| Right-click | Lock a target — mob or block. |
| Right-click again | Send everything at it. |
| Left-click | Fire one out of the swarm. |
| Scroll | Pick the type. |
Every input is a single click. Nothing repeats while you hold a button, and nothing fires that you didn't summon — an empty swarm just tells you so. That's deliberate: the earlier version repeated on a held button and could conjure projectiles when the swarm ran dry, which meant it could start firing and not stop.
They spawn facing the way you are and pass straight through you while they float, so they can't bump you around. Lock onto a mob and it stays locked — it still gets hit if it runs. The staff holds the cast pose the whole time.
In survival, summoning an arrow takes one from your inventory (there's a server setting for it). Only arrows cost anything — fireballs, TNT and food don't need to be carried.
Custom projectiles¶
In the launcher → ✦ Custom Projectiles…, add any entity by ID, give it a name, and fire it like any built-in type. They show up in the quick chooser too.
