Shield

Right-click and a force-field dome goes up around you. ` + scroll sizes it, 1.5 to 8, in tenths, easing smoothly rather than jumping between sizes.

While it's up:

  • Nothing hurts you. Explosions don't even knock you back.
  • Mobs and players get pushed out. Items and XP drift straight through.
  • Incoming projectiles bounce off with a spark instead of vanishing into it.
  • The void still kills you. A force field is not a parachute.

Small domes are egg-shaped and round out as they grow. The surface ripples — you can tune how much. Switch on Shield durability and it soaks up a set amount of damage before shattering. It drops when you die, other players see your colour and wobble, and it scales with your generic.scale, so a giant player gets a giant dome instead of one sitting around their ankles.

Whitelist

Whitelisted people can stand inside without being shoved out, and they're safe from damage while they're in there.

  • Shift + right-click someone to add them.
  • V opens the menu — players and mobs on separate tabs, with search.

The list lives on the staff, so it survives restarts and goes with the item if you hand it to someone. Offline players stay listed so you can still manage them, mobs with the same name get numbered (1), (2)…, and anything that dies drops off by itself.

Your mount is automatic

Get on a horse, donkey, pig, whatever, with Shield selected and it's whitelisted for you straight away — and locked there until you get off. The menu shows it as ⚓ Riding instead of a Remove button.

Without that the barrier would treat your own horse as an intruder and shove it out from under you the moment the dome went up. The lock covers every way of removing it, so you can't drop it by accident while you're still sitting on it. Get off and it goes back to being a normal entry — still whitelisted, so climbing back on needs nothing.
